Welcome to Petstalker.comLike any proud animal owner, I believe that my dog Playa is the scruffiest, craziest, cutest dog on the planet. In fact, I am so convinced that I think it would be a shame to not share my experience with others. I created PetStalker.com to help others 'stalk' my little monster and have fun keeping up with her. Thanks for stopping by! |

Today we attended our first neighborhood event - the Hollywood Dell Summer BBQ. Our neighborhood has a very active community association, and as it turns out, they put on a pretty nice little party! The signs for the event said there was a dog parade, so of course Playa came along and participated. As it turns out, the dog parade was actually a competition. Each dog was introduced, and when I brought Playa up, I had her stand on her back legs for a treat. The crowd loved it, and she ended up winning the category for most talented. Afterward, they had all the category winners up for a final round of crowd applause and to decide on the grand prize winner. Playa won! She was crowned 2009's Top Dog of The Dell. It was a fun time. Playa made some new friends, as did we.

Playa is a fantastic watchdog. She spends lots of her time looking outside. She's fascinated with anything that moves or makes noise in the yard or the street, and she lets us know whenever she doesn't approve of something. This evening she sat for a spell by the back door, watching the birds, squirrels, or whatever else was out by the tree in the back yard.

Well folks - it's been a long week with no pupdates. Sorry! I started a new job, and haven't had even a spare moment. Mom's been taking great care of Playa this week, as I have been leaving early and coming home after she's already been walked. Mom says she misses me during the day. One time this week a white SUV turned around in our driveway, and Playa got all excited that I was home - except I wasn't. One interesting thing Playa's been doing recently is hiding under the bed. She goes under there frequently to get away from me when I'm chasing her around for sport. Other times she disappears under the bed just to relax and get away from it all. So while I'm away from home working in my new spot, she's been hanging out in a new spot of her own. |

Sorry for the lack of updates for a few days. We took a trip out to Parker, Arizona for some fun in the sun. Playa had a wonderful time, as usual. She is completely at home on the river, spending her days lounging in the shade down by the shoreline, watching the current. Every time a boat goes by, she jumps to her feet and streaks along the shore at full speed, sometimes barking a few times to alert us of the fast-moving watercraft. This trip, she also took two rides in the speedboat, and enjoyed the wind in her face. Her least favorite part of going to the river has always been the car ride. She often stays awake the entire trip, and moans until mom (that pushover) gives in and holds her for the entire ride. This time, though, she seems to have found a way to relax. Instead of sitting on the back seat, yesterday she settled down on the floor behind the driver's seat, and actually fell asleep for most of the trip. Good girl! |
